yeap when I was waiting on my baja I read everything I could find in the large scale section, then I went over to hbf and started reading old threads there. I have gained so much knowledge and understanding that way.

For your question, you will mix unleaded gasoline with 2 stroke oil. Mix it 40:1 for the first few tanks, and then after that most people run a mixture somewhere between 25:1 and 32:1. Eddy from Team Fast Eddy has some excellent tutorial articles and videos dealing with all aspects of upgrading and maintaining the baja.

you should mix 25:1 for the first few tanks and after 3 or 4, then make the switch to 32:1 or 40:1. impo, 40:1 is as lean an oil mix you ll want to run, even with very high end synth 2 cycle oil. I'm still running 25:1 but will be moving to 32:1 so i dont have to mix two seperate mixes. My berg was suggested by the manufacturer to run at 50:1. i feel thats a bit lean on oil (even if thats what the manufacturer of the motor recommends). this way i can make on mix and run both my 1/5ths on it.
