hey i am an off roader but i have seen some onroad racing and it looks interesting. i might get one i just dont kno which one. i have heard the mugen mtx-3 and the team associated nitro tc3 were good. any opinions?

I have a MTX-3. Very good car, especially for racing. The TC3 is also a good car for racing and plenty available parts at the LHS's. The mugen parts are available online unless ur LHS stocks them which I doubt. It's on u on how much u want to spend.

When u buy the kit, u have the option of buying the motor which is the Novarossi MT12. It's a very good engine it's the one I have now. I bought my kit from here: www.acehardwarehobbies.com

i would recommend you go with the hpi cars I've had mabe 5 of these 1/10th hpi cars there great resonds are
1. your hobby shop will always have back up and hop up parts
2. most engines will fit on them
3. there great reliable cars
4. just a good car

hope my opinon helps you some.

o and if your looking for a engine go with RB concepts engines best ever.

do not purchase an hpi - other than the R40, as they are not a raceable vehicle. The NTC3 is a great entry level race car and can win races. The MTX3, Reflex, and Serpent 705 are also all great cars, better than the NTC3 - but a bit harder to tune and more money. Alot of engines are great out there, but i would strongly recommend only nova rossi based engines such as the following: RB Concepts, Sirio, Mugen, Novarossi, Novamega, ect

I think as much as nitroaddict hates on HPI, he had one smoke him or something?! HPI cars are affordable, reliable, durable, fast, fun, easy to manage, buildable(tons of factory and aftermarket parts),fun cars! And they are racing material with alittle work!:hehe:

I have a Mugen MTX 2 with a rossi r12 and I love it. It is fast and pretty durable.

HPI are good cars. For parking lots! Other than the new R40, they can't match up at the circiuts. LMAO!!!!!
