I believe I would have similar issues with dexerity and not beimg able to wrench on these little guys.
Now I'm positive that I could find someone on the forum who would be willing to build a crawler for me if I sent them all the parts... (for science 🙄🤣)
CONGRATS for finding someone willing to give the truck back to you once it was built! 👍🤣
This is a pretty cool little truck! Those big tires and wheels make it look pretty nasty!!! 😍

Thanks
He actually encourages me to buy upgrades so he can do the work on them
I'm pretty happy with the JLU
I still want to do the new Meus axels and a brushless set up
Eventually lol

Theres always room for 1 more upgrade... 🤣

So got the Mesus Isokinetic nylon Axels, A RampCrab Servo and Injora 43MM Aluminum threaded shocks all installed. Had to trim the front fenders more to make way for the tires due to the extreme turning ability with the new axels.
Got to play around a little, but there was an issue with the motor. The pinion gear is stripping and I'm not really getting power.
I ordered a MofoRC Torque Beast 50. Once that it is in, I think this will be done.

i had this same truck, my nephew burnt up the motor in it, its now in pieces in a bag as i am not coordinated enough for them teensy screws lol, killer rig, makes me want to fix mine!

Thanks. I really like it. Can't wait to get the TorqueBeast in. This started out as a $60 Marketplace buy on a whim just to have something to play with and has really taken a life of it's own. Hopefully only 2 more purchases and it's "done".

I am blessed enough to have a "mechanic" who does 99% of my work for me. He loves doing it and I don't, but don't mind spending the $ on the parts

We have some friends in town for the weekend. I was showing him my VOlcano 16, had the ramp out and was playing around a bit.
Then I got out the Base Camp and the JLU. Ramp was still out - no, I didn't try jumping it- and I figured it would make a good flex ramp.
Not the coolest flex pic ever, but thought it was decent

Sometime today, the sideview mirrors go on

Trying to make it match with it's little brother, the 30, aka Smallfoot

I have the font bumper to o on once the plow comes off. I'll remove the stickers form the 24 and a lot of the accessories from the 30
