I see alot of people saying "why not just get a big block" - well, the point of this engine, i imagine, was that it could be installed as a drop in without the need for the BB conversion.

Exactly. They claim that you will be able to use all of the stock parts, including the Ez Start system.

My guess would be all stock until everything in the drivline toasts. There is no way you could keep the front end down on that thing without a conversion.

They should sell it with a wheelie bar and titanium cvd's. Then it would be a viable option.

I'm not bashing it. Just wish it came out last year instead of this year, since i already did the conversion.

Oh well.

i think it would be a good option for people as long as they have upgraded cvd's and possibly kippster/maximizer diffs, as i ran the xtm 24.7 on nothing but upgraded cvd's to the drivetrain and only thing that went out were the stock cvd pins, blew out the front diff (tore the 4 small screws) but the diff went out while landing with the brakes on so its hard to say how much the 24.7 had an effect on that. and anyways upgraded diffs over the plastic sliders are mandatory IMO even with the trx 2.5 as you may break them while landing with the gas/throttle full clamp, as i have snaped them in that way before. plus some one may already have invested in a nice cage (lets say the rc-solution t-maxx cage) and wants more power, they can run a bigger mill while keeping there cage/chassis setup. i say more options more fun...as long as you dont pull hair out deciding which way to go.

sorry i meant above upgraded CVD's over the stock sliders****
