My normal terrain consists of a ghetto back yard with small to medium sized rocks and a dirt pile we use to jump over the "no dumping" sign. I need something rugged enough to do half throttle turns in gravel without tearing a sidewall. Suggestions?

Right now I've got stock wheels and tires. Whatever ones come with the tmaxx right out of the box. I'm looking for a good wheel tire combo.

I've only ever had the chevron tyres and standard wheels and they work pretty well for me I'm always off road . But am due for some new ones .

yeah the classis tmaxx tire is harder than the new 3.3 tmaxx tire i have noticed I have had more problems with the rims on the stock 3.3 tmaxx tire/rim setup. and my classic rims and tires have been ran over the whole nose was only out a shock tower and 2 shocks...

badlands are a good tire i got a used set on a truck and i like them on my classic with the 3.3 motor..

Bandlands are badarse! mount up a set badlands on some Maximizer beadlocks.

This is my new wheel tire combo for this year and so far have been sweet. A little on the heavy side, but for my maxx it works out great.

I use axial beadlocks with proline MOABs and it's been good to me, abit on the heavy side but alot more durable than stock 4908 wheels/tires. I had a recurring problem with the stock wheels getting chewed up on the lip and when I corner the tire sidewall rolls and gets cut.

I really like the newer revo tires on 17mm wheels. LIke these:

Although, I may snag a set of 3.8" chevrons. Not quite as big as the LST tires I have now, but should get good wear on concrete and grass, since that's where I spend most of my time.

I've been running some Imex Maxx Dawgs for a few years now and they have held up better than I could have imagined, awesome traction and tough as nails......and my maxx is a full caged, tweaked .21, 3 speed, 60 mph screamer......and weighs 12.5#s

I like my proline big joes on axial beed lock rims. Hooks up on dirt, grass, and on road. Wear is good too!

I have masher tires on my T-maxx with the bead lock rims. Are they to much of a tire for the T-maxx?

But it should still be able to do wheelies right?

It should still be able to do wheelies right?

40 series tires on a stock t max is ok if you gear down (drop pinion 1-2 teeth) to keep the bottom end punch to make wheelies. Of coarse you will give up some top end speed. It all depends were you run your truck. I have a .27 sirio eng in my max and it spins the Big Joe's no problem. The drive line on the other hand, has a shorter life span due to the extra power and traction.
Have fun!!!
