Has anyone seen "The Passion of the Christ" yet? Seems to be a lot of hype and controversy about this film. At first, i was thinking ..."Oh great, another hollywood rendition of the last days of Christ." When I saw some clips on tv, it seems pretty explicit as far as the suffering. Now it has my curiosity gears turning. HERE's a link to a review.

My mom is going to see it. She said it is about he last 12 hours of his life. She aslo said that it is really graphic. I seen the trailer and I dont know, it might be good.

As much as I've heard about it on the radio I have to see it. Mel Gibson's good.

Just clicked on the link... Mel isn't in the film?

a 56 year old lady in my town, wichita kansas, died during the film right at the climatic crucifixion (SP?) scene. thats pretty crazy. it was on the national news today.

No, he directed it.

I've seen it, and it does only depict the last 12 hours of Jesus's life. There really is no context to those 12 hours. It is graphic and bloody, but from all historical and medical accounts that is what crucifixion was really like. Regardless of what you think of the story, the movie is extremely well made.

if you go to see it, be warned it is in sub-titles, and you have to know how to read, so that might leave you out hicks

side note to anyone from the seattle area, the dude who plays jesus is from Seattle, went to Kennedy H.S.

Yeah, it's spoken in Aramaic. But only the last 12 hours? Hmmmm, I thought it would include His time with the apostles.

The movie is excellent. The details was exactly the way it states in the bible. I feel that Mel Gibson wanted to make people realize what kind of pain and suffering Christ had to endure for us and we don't give the time of day to give thanx or go to church.

My son and I went to see it yesterday. It is an excellent film. And the content is pretty brutal.

Who was that pale albino-like hooded figure that kept appearing throughout the film?

That was Satin.

We saw the movie last night. It was crazy when we got to the theater because there were about 10 screens of the movie playing and 9 of them were sold out. Somehow we got in one of the shows.
It was a really good movie. I'm still not sure if I'd take the kids to see it or not. It wasn't as violent as I thought it'd be, but what was shown was very graphic (the chastising of Christ).
Definately a movie to see.

What bothers me about the movie is that Mel Gibson goes out and tries to make an accurate movie about Jesus and is accused of being "anti-semantic". Stanly Kubrik made a mockery of a movie about Christ and it was considered "art".

Anyway, good movie definately worth the $8 a ticket.

Well Actually Mel's hands are in the film, His hands are the ones that Nail Jesus to the Cross. (This is not a Joke).

If you dont believe in all that stuff, do you think it will still be a good movie to see.
