I was undecided on weather to upgrade my savage to an X or not.
Well on Saturday afternoon I was forced to make up my mind.
Got a little to close to a curb and figured I would make it.
I figured wrong.
The last pic is the upgrade kit, new servo case and exhaust coupler.

If I would have left the stock plastic arm's on, I would only be replacing the the arm. Live and learn

I’ll repost on how the upgrade comes together.

wow another aluminium murder. all these crash pic with aluminium should be made stickies on why alumium isnt the best. well now take your wallet out and go fix it.

The upgrade is complete. Here is a list of what’s exactly the same.
All axles including the center shafts (the only difference on the X is no left-hand thread)
Bumpers, Pin brace P#86070, All pins, the out drives, frame braces P#85045=5, All bearings, all link arm’s, steering linkage, all internal trans gears and shocks.

If you break anything in my list above then you will also need to buy them with the upgrade.

a little close to a curb?looks like you hit it head on at wot...lol damn that sucks big time ...looks good now all that aluminum sucks big time when you crash....

to upgrade my savage to an savage x. is there a kit i can buy? or do i have to buy everything seperately ?

There is a Savage conversion kit you can buy. I would buy it to get the Radio box and the LCG TVP's... Plus the ease of the Diffs and the Tranny. IMO

The last picture is the kit. It's one big part's bag full of smaller one's.

Holy cow! I've never seen bent Tvps like that before.. Wow.. Thats...awesome!!
Nice pull man! New upgrade look nice!

Bringing this back up... I am considering swapping out the Savage 25 for the savage X parts.

Questions...

How is the new Double slipper on this? How are the TVP's? Are they as thick and durable as the stock ones? My big wow reasons for doing this are the RX box and the new easy maintenance on the drive train. I see you are usin the "roll cage". How does that interfere/improve for bashing? Is it strong? Do you not use the old handle anymore?

OUCH!! I could feel that one from here...Nice job on getting her fixed up and road ready.

wow that was hard and a good reason i bet you were cookin and people tell me change the plastic to mtal they will never break ya right

like the 6 million dollar man faster stonger
