While I don't condone insider trading you do have to wonder at the timing. We're talking about a 4-yr old trade that just now comes up after Cuban started up a website, bailoutsleuth.com, to force the issue of bailout transparency of the financial rescue package.

Very good point my friend! Cuban is a good guy but even good guys do stupid things. SEC better have a good case 'cause Mark Cuban has damn good lawyers.

unless they have the broker on file (or other media) proving cuban knew about the pending drop in price, he is not going to get any jail time. that was the only way they got martha.

dont get me wrong, i'd love to see him get popped, but i seriously doubt he'll get any jail time. and if by a long shot he does get convicted, he's not going to a 'real' jail. he'll be sitting next to the NBA ref in a minimum security facility

He WONT get jail time. He will have to pay the $$$ and it is a FINE, not jail time. It is pennies compared to what really happens EVERY SINGLE day. So yeah, he did wrong, but it is TOTALLY fishy considering his views on our current resident on the White House.
