If we are lucky, it will burn the entire city.
(Just a joke)
I was reading about it in the paper. Fire is nasty.

it will burn the city uh? it should as hollywood is an evil curupt place in iteslef and i dont feel sorry for hollywood. i was raised there as a child and there is a bunch of sick wackos running around.

i geuss hollywood better be good as the bible code says a huge earthquake is expected in the year 2010.

firemen stay busy in the summer. so dry and easily set on fire.

as bob marley says," slay the wicked with fire now."

I like it there..... but then again i am satan

LA is one big, spread out city, so Hollywood is connected to Downtown LA, and Beverly Hills, and Westwood, and Dodger stadium, and so on, and blah blah. If Hollywood burns, many other parts of LA would be burning too. The riots from few years back showed how easy it was to have many riots break out in many cities as they are all tied together. There are no land gaps separating the cities around here.

Nice clear photo. Lucky, too. Normally in the summer it so smoggy you could not have seen the Hollywood Hills from where you took that pic.

God, I don't miss Cali. I woke one morning and went to get in my car. Had to brush 1/2" of ash off it before I could leave my apartment.

Candyman, you shold have seen it two years ago when all the local mountains and most of San Bernardino and San Diego county burned up. Ash like you described and the sky was orange for weeks. Some days it got dark in the middle of the day. And then last winter SoCal got it's second most heaviest rain season on record. Nothing to hold the mud and dirt back as the top cover all burned. Lots of sliding homes on those hills!

I lived in Santa Ana from 96 to 98. It was the winter of 96-97 when there was an El Nino that just wiped out Laguna Canyon. I remember seeing pics of water rushing through downtown Laguna Beach. I drove through Laguna Canyon a few days later and there was still water pouring out of the sides of the hills. That's just a weird sight.

Yep, '97 was the El Nino. That was the year I bought my house in Irvine area. Brand new house so no landscaping. Watched rivers of clay mud leave my lot. Who knew that stuff was sooo slippery to walk on.

this past winter was nice for snow season in so cal. our local ski mnt. Mnt High got 9ft of snow. you wouldn't think 9ft of snow 1 hour north of L.A. i hope we get a good snow season this year as well. the big ski resort mammoth mnt. 5 hours north of L.A. got 45ft of snow 04-05 season.

i swear with the goggles i have when i go boarding you can see the pollution in the air. you see dirty fog/smog in the air in front of you and snow on the ground. can't wait for snow season to kick off.
