The dumbest thing I have ever done!

I was mounting the spare tire to the bed of my scx10 with the body still mounted on the chassis....bad idea! When I drilled the hole in the bed the bit went through too fast and drilled a hole in my lipo! I didn't noticed until I saw the smoke, I grabbed the truck and ran outside then pulled the battery. The pack got warm for a minute but no fire. To make things worst I sold a couple of lipos last week, now I have to use a nimh pack

Wow....you got luck brother....I watched a Lipo fire burn a truggy to the ground at the old track we had here. Not cool at all. Destroyed a $700+ rig.

Ouch, that sucks man, but glad you're truck and your house are OK. Don't feel bad, I broke a CVD drive the other day from improper assembly. I didn't get any directions with them, and typical man attitude didn't Google it just put 'em together. I don't need no stinkin' instructions......

While I was running for the door I just knew it was going to ignite, so yea very lucky!

It sounds like a good news/Bad news situation. The bad news is that you wrecked an expensive LiPo. The good news is that everything else survived.
