Hopefully the weather clears tommorow so I can fire it up!

Well I got about a half tank of break in today. No throttle, just idle. So far this engine does not like trinity Monster Horspower 20% break in blend or RB plugs. Really hard to start and ended up fouling the plug. So I swapped in a Mcoy MC59 and odonnell 20% and she fired right up. Had her going for the half tank until the rain came again.

Oh yeah I also snapped the stock pullstart cord when trying to use the Trinity fuel, so I swapped in a thicker Associated cord.

Well i found out why my Collari was so hard to start and prime, the hole for the plastic fuel inlet nipple was about the size of a pin head, the small end! I took a small drill bit to enlarge it and now it starts on the 2nd or third pull. I'm still running very rich and my temps are around 220. I was able to get three tanks in at about 1/2 throttle. Hopefully get to finish break in tommorow.

Good info SD, will have to check mine out when it comes in can't wait to get it broken in.

Aewsome SweetD.. I hope to see this baby run soon.. Good thing you have that RcSolutions cage cuz that head is neat looking..

I should have it broken in by the end of the week, then time to check out your ramp hehe....

Wasp 28

sweetdiesel said:
It is about 5mm larger in diameter than my stock WASP .28 heatsink but 3-4 mm shorter with 8 fins vs 11 fins on the WASP. The fins are also slightly thinner than the WASP.28 fins. What this all means is nothing since I haven't even started it yet.

Hi,
What do you think about the wasp .28?

Thank you
Ray

It is a good engine, there are many others here who are running it in their Savages. The engine has very high compression and has tendencies to burn out one way bearings. IMO it's an engine with very good mid-high end power. It is a little thin on the bottom end.
