We have an office supplier that delivers directly to my office (WB Mason).
We see them at least once a week.
Last week, one of the drivers (their are two) asked me for a metal container.
I asked him what for, and he told me that his heater in his truck wasn't working, and wanted to use the metal container to light BBQ coals in it?!?!?!
WTF is wrong with this moron? I thought they were kidding!
I told him no, and sent them on their way.
Today (the coldest day of the year in NY, 9 degrees), they both come in, and they STINK!!
I said "what the hell is that smell"? It was them.
They got a Metal school type garbage can (steel), put it between the driver and passenger seats, and had it half full with coals, burning away, windows closed, Stunk like match lite..
I looked at these two dopes, and said "are you F**king crazy?
They said that they were fine, and were happy to have heat.
I was stupefied!!
They both had real bad eye glaze, stunk to high hell of match lite, and had a nervous look.
I think they had carbon monoxide poison, and didn't know it.
It's hard to find good help these days. I hope the lived through the day.
Thought I would share.
