Thanks again, fellas! I did purchase an airbrush set, thought I'd give that whirl. I've been searching the forum on tips, tricks and the like and I've been keeping my scrap Lexan and some empty pop bottles to practice on as well.

Well guys, we have this weekend and one more to finish these.

I'm off work this one and going to try to get mine finished. At least get the paint on. Need to cut the mask where I am going to put chrome. Steps and fifth wheel is all that are left. Grill is cut out. Never used the Spaxstix. Hope it works out. I wish I had the patience to detail it a little more. Just going to be a basher body anyway. Besides, if we use the body it will last till the next contest anyway.


Anyone else going to try to work on theirs this weekend?

I STILL havn't been able to find time to shoot my practice piece... I'm gonna be in some deep crap here pretty soon. I think a babysitter may be in order next weekend...

I washed my lid this morning.

Masked it with blue tape.

Changed my mind a dozen more times on colors....said #$%^ it and shot the black.

I should be done this evening.

Wow! Great lookin' bug! If you don't mind, what kind of rig is that? The only Beatle based R/C I'm aware of is the Kyosho Baja Beatle, but I've been looking for one other than that for some time.

Nice work. Never seen a layout like that. I like it. (Btw, what are them rims and tires? I like, I like!

They're XTM wheels and tires. Neogeo202 bought them for his t-maxx and they wouldn't work, so I took them off his hands to put on my extended savy.

I painted the wheels after the chrome flaked off. I'm just glad I didn't glue them when they were new.
