They are treating the Slash like a personalized coffee cup. Everybody wants their own

The only thing limiting the number of Slashes Traxxas releases are the number of boxes they can print.
Other than a spiffy body, what is the difference?
Do they charge more for these 'limited' trucks too?
I think I saw a Snap Off Slash a while back that was insanely high priced. Not sure how common that is.

The special edition ones were typically sold by the people that requested the special one I think. Snap-on sold the Snap-on ones on their trucks that go around to the machine shops and such

Yeah, I bought the $12k tool boxes and got the cast iron collectibles and a bunch of plastic mugs.
I was a bit shocked by the price and sort of laughed it off.

The reason I bought Snap On is because they didn't break. Plain and simple. A lot of the Bluepoint stuff was more reasonable and still good quality.
Craftsman (USA) had good stuff BUT I would regularly break sockets, ratchets, etc... I need to finish the job, not stand in line at sears.
Matco and Mac were also popular with me.
Most of my mechanics tools are well over 25 years old and work perfectly still.

I'd give him $300 for it tops. And that would leave me feeling a bit like a schmuck.

I've seen lots of ppl get screwed in these deals too. Like the car was packaged with a t shirt and thr shirt is gone or whatever.
Its what MADE the car a SPECIAL edition!!!
Open box is a big risk.

Element Gatekeeper kit.
Castle Slate 2280 kv sensored motor with Castle Copperhead ESC.
Carbon Fiber Servo on Axle servo mount.
4-link front suspension.
Updated spur gear for increased top speed.


Note:

No wheels but will come with OEM tires ( new condition )
No powerswitch on ESC
No Transmitter receiver
