A friend of mine works at 3M and was able to get me the absolute best 2 sided tape I have ever seen. 3M manufactures it for their own internal for assembling other products they make. It works great for mounting ECSs, RX, and Battery packs.

What make this tape so good?

Its 1mm thick made of a pliable rubber. The adhesive is embedded into the rubber. Most 2 sided tapes are made of a foam rubber that has a super thin 2 sided tape mounted onto it. If you have ever removed something mounted with the foam tape you get a huge mess of split foam and tape on both mounting surfaces. If the foam gets soaked the tape just comes off and your Parts are flopping in the wind. With this tape there is absolutely no additional cleanup after you un-mount your part. It peals right off in one piece. It is rated at 10 lbs per square inch of mounted surface.

Its made of a pliable rubber so it will form to an uneven surface. The rubber will not soak up oil or watter insuring that your parts will stay mounted.

That stuff is "the best". I get mine at Wal-Mart. The odd thing is...not all Wal-Mart stores have it. Only one of the four in my area has it!

i just bought some from lowes its called extreme exterior double stick tape it has the red plastic instead of the paper,i bought it to re stick a name plate on a apartment door,however i did not use it yet and the one i bought was like 3/4 of in.thick ill check on the price i always just load poop in my wagon for jobs and hardly ever look at price

Finally someone found something better than servo tape, that wont break apart when you need to remove it! Also I have tried to use it for custom applications holding fuel tanks in place and other things where fuel is, and it just loses hold and becomes useless...all while your vehicle is 50 yards away and the fuel tank is flopping behind!

I found this stuff at walmart as well. It was in the automotive section and is used for putting emblems and what not back on.

I used it to keep the drivesr side mirror on my olds... that was 4 years ago and it's still on.
