Just finished installing the foc, checked out the mill, and put my tx/rx in it, it took a while to get the end points adjusted. I had to break out the manual and actually learn how to use my radio LOL. Batteries are charging and the break in will soon begin

Congratulations on the new toy! Let us know how she goes after break in.

BASTARD!! LOL I am waiting on my parts but I will install them after break in. Congrats on the Revo!!

I decide to follow Traxxas direction on the break in. The mill is very tight and hard to turn with a finger, it was hard to get running the first time ( it was lubed and preheated) but once it started it never died. The rest of the break in was a breeze, just got through tank #5. I'm letting it cool down then I'll lean it a little. The suspension definitely needs some attention, the rear end likes to slide around but doesn't feel like it wants to flip very easy.

Two problem with it. The body has a small split on the side where it was hitting the engine brace (somebody wasn't paying attention when they put the body on), and one of the front tires has a wobble. Both were like this out of the box. Not a big deal but shouldn't be like this IMO.

That is weird, my Revo has the exact same body and one of my wheels wobble too. WTF? Body is fine though.

I also think the rear of the truck is way to soft and needs some changes in tuning. Maybe stiffer springs. I will stick with it for now...Been busy all week and work hogs my time. I have just been reading up on the 3.3 as much as I can.

That is a sexy lookin rig though..

I have been doing a lot of reading about them also, and the Yellow body seems to be the color of choice LOL. Somebody better start making bodies for these things are it's going to be very interesting at the track or local bashing spot

its b/c ur left front wheel is about to fall off. mine did that too. and thats y. thats just b4 their 1 and only track day where the sidewall started separatin where the quasi-beadlock meets the seam. traxxas didnt step up on warranty, thus i have other stuff come in. (believe it or not i had my LHS call and they wanted to have us send all 4 in, but would only warranty 2-uh wth?)

i also have the yellow one and one of my wheels wobble to. my friends black one has no wobbly tires. i guess mine was a friday truck.

LSP bodies will fit the longer Revo's and probably the Hellfire. Check your shocks, many of the original Revo's weren't filled all the way.

None of the wheels on falling off and non of the tires are coming unglued. I just changed all four shock springs and checked the shocks, everything looks good. I think they did a poor job of gluing one of the tires, no big deal I'll fix it later.

I ran a few more tanks this afternoon and there is no doubt that this thing will smoke a 2.5r from start to finish. I still need to get it tuned and adjust the shift point, it's taking too long to get 2nd gear. I was messing around on a small bump and it looks like it will be a little nose heavy in the air but not too bad.

I just checked the Hellfire body and it's 18 1/4 long, the 3.3 body is 19 1/2 long and the mounts are pushed to the end of the body on the rear, not sure if it would work.

That is awesome. Whyd did you change out the springs? I am looking for different springs but the way Traxxas does it is kinda odd. They should color the entire spring instead of marking it. Hope to fully run in 5-10 tanks tomorrow. Funny I am all set but I need to head down to the LHS for fuel. I am going to break her in with 20% then raise it up to 30%.

For what it's worth, I also got a yellow Revo 3.3 and my tires wobbled. They have seemed to straighten out on their own though.

The suspension was too soft for my liking so I figured I would experiment. I put the blue in the rear and the green on the front, I'll give it a try tomorrow.

So all yellow ones have wobbly tires LOL, sounds like the foam straighten itself out, hopeful mine will do the same.

well after 1 day on track, my tires tore @ sidewall where the quasi-beadlock comes over. pissed me off, then traxxas again did the stupid thing of wantin all 4 tires sent back via LHS but only sendin 2 replacements. de de deahhhh!!!

Got it shifting the way I like, and I rather this spring set up but will play with it a little more. I started leaning it a little and this truck HAUL ASS! It lifted the front a couple of times but not on command, I could probably make a few adjustments and get wheelies all of the time but thats not what I'm after. I ran right at a 1/2 gallon through it but now I'm out of fuel.......Off to the hobby shop!

Almost forgot, the wobble on the tire went away, I guess the foam needed to be stretched a little, at wot the Talons balloon big time.

Then they come unglued... I've had issues with my OS 18 TM revo doing that. I have about 1 tire come unglued every time out.

Also, the tires are such a low profile that on a less than perfect landing, the rim digs into the dirt and busts the axle carriers, instead of just sliding like it would if the rim didn't contact the ground. In my case, it pulls the pivot ball through the carrier... I'm running RPM carriers. But prior to the RPM carriers, I was replacing one about every weekend.

Just some food for thought. You may want to go with different rims/tires in the near future.

Seems like every time I run this truck is gets better. Today it was pulling the front up more and more. I decided to bring out the ramp, 4x8 sheet of 1/4 plywood propped on my lawn mower. With the ramp being 8 feet long it has a nice sway to it and gives a good launch. On the second wot jump I broke one side of the right rear a arm. I notice it wanting to slide sideways when I got on the brakes and thats when I noticed, I beat the poop out of it for three more tanks and that a arm held up with one side broken....Not bad. The body is not as pretty anymore, it now sports small creases on the back.
