I have a revo please don`t tell anyone......... Thank god I have a savage!!!!!!!
Ran this maybe 6 times at home track... rearend is junk....WTF Traxxas instead of spending millions on ADDS spend it on reliability!!!

What is the best fix for this problem?

Wow I bought my Revo when the 2.5 first came out and have never broke a diff. Been through 3 engines same set of diffs.

Love my REVO along with my Savage 25SS and LST. I have been through one front diff on my REVO only because it was leaking all the gears looked good and I bought one of the first REVOs that came out and am running a .21 engine in it.

I have a Revo and a Slayer Pro both with Picco .21 max's and have never had any issues with the front or rear end. I had what I thought was a diff problem over the weekend but it turned out to be that I snapped the metal pin in the steel center drive shaft.

Drop a brushless diff in and drive away.
Alternatively if it's a new truck ring up and say something to traxxas they should in theory give you the parts to fix it

I really can't understand how people bust diffs on brushless rigs ,I mean I have a erbe and an embe both of which have been run on 6s but mostly 4s and have never had a diff issue and the e maxx cops a hiding whenever I use it .maybe its in the slipper setting , I run the maxx fairly loose as it does mostly bitumen runs in fact the only thing I have broken a few times was the centre rear driveshaft but a set of cvds' has fixed that.

You need to get it out of the living room!! :D
ALL that I know is my HPI Savage has seen way more bashing that the revo and it aint broke.

Lol, I have a Savage sitting in my garage thats broke and have a Revo and a Slayer Pro that run perfectly! Your argument is not valid.

the only diff I have destroyed was when the hex in my wheel striped out and I kept pushing it. All the power was going to the striped hex and never making it to the ground. It still took a lot of bashing to wreck it. Like a weeks worth.

my bashing buddy has savages ,both nitro and electric he has blown more diffs than I have by a long way .I can't remember what he ended up putting in there but the problem has stopped.
instead of trying to start a trx vs hpi fight have you called traxxas? ,if you blew a diff after 6 runs there is a defect there....

Whats your budget to fix you diff issue?

if you've got the oppertunity, look for these to become available again: http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail.php?prod=Revo+Hybrid+diff/case&cat=44

I could only get a hold of 1 myself.

Thank you for the link!!

I'am not starting anything ....just stating a fact.

I know that if you call traxxas, you need the receipt of the purchase so they can back check it to if you qualified for warrenty. If your polite enough traxxas service department might send you a replacement, although it does state in the manual that traxxas doesn't warrenty driveline components.

If using stock diffs:
Throttle control, a properly set slipper and spare diffs…:)

It’s a 10th scale diff being pushed by basically a 1/8th scale system. Beat on it and it will fail (really quick with 6S).

There isn’t a diff made that can't be broken though, some just break way more often than others.

It amazes me that Traxxas still hasn’t addressed the diff issue. An aluminum cup, and redesign of the ring and pinion using quality steel and they would sell by the thousands.

so I'm just gonna throw this out there ,go buy a new diff and as other have said shim it correctly and move on....
