I was running my GRP .21 (sport) today and noticed about a 30 to 40 degree difference in temperature between the top of the crankcase and the top of the glow plug. I had a telemetry sensor at the top of the crankcase reading around 235 while my Duratrax infrared sensor read 200 at the top of the glow plug, and around 230 at the top of the case.
Does that seem normal? I know they say take the temp at the top of the glow plug, but I never noticed that big of a difference between the two.

That's normal, also a good temp for a GRP. They run great between 180F to 210F. Also don't put too much faith in that Duratrash temp gun.

Thanks, Scrogg. I heard the same about the temps on the GRPs and mine is starting to really wake up. I didn't want it running higher than about 230-240 since others can make theirs scream at 180-210.
Duratrash temp gun...lol, I love it. That thing has been giving me some crap lately.
