temp gauges are not expensive

I bought an infared temp gauge at my local hobby shop many months ago to the tune of $27 plus tax.


I was in HARBOR FRIEGHT tools yesterday, and i saw the same exact temp gauge for only $9.99

YOU NOW HAVE NO REASON TO SAY THAT TEMP GAUGES ARE EXPENSIVE!!!

it says 230 max although in the picture its at 469* F - whats up with that?

Maybe thats why mine was $30 cause it definitely goes up to at least 300

When I found out that info i tried to return it and they would not take opened electronic items back. Sucks! They do have anotrher one in stores for $25 that does go up to over 400F with a laser pointer. I wonder if the 469 is supposed to be 46.9?

This is the one I have. It's a wonderful piece of equipment. It's pricey, but for what I do, its needed.

The one that my shop has is..uhh....yeeaa....pricey pricey.....its an FLIR I60 thermal imaging camera. We use it to measure independent cylinder temperatures on diesel engines, before and after rebuild.
