I'm thinking about buying a mini truck. i already have a revo but i want somthing plug n play. i was wondering if some trucks were better than others. what trucks do you guys run, and are you happy with it?

thanks

I have run a Losi Mini-T, with an orion "big block" motor in it and loved it.
But then i got the RC18 and threw a brushless motor with a 3s lipo, and have gotten rid of most all other rigs.

i noticed that the losi come with gear diffs and the rc18 comes with ball diffs. I'm my experience balls diffs tend to spool out and the gear diffs handles the power better. does the rc18 handle brushless beter than the losi?

Well, the rc18 is 4wd, losi is 2wd, so the rc18 has better control than the losi. If going to brushless, the MIP super diff's are a must in the rc18. I have destroyed the stock diff's in the losi with the big block brushed motor.

I got my first RC two years ago, and that was a nitro Rustler. As much as I enjoy the 1/10 scale stuff, (I have a T-Maxx 2.5 also)the 1:18 cars are just way too fun. Not to mention easier on the wallet. I bought a used RC18B on ebay about a month ago,and I'm just going nuts with it. Losi cars are quality, but as Alpine said the mini-T is 2WD,while the Associated cars are all 4WD which does make them easy to drive, and distributes the power to all four wheels, which,in the long run extends the life of the drivetrain. I've done several upgrades on mine, including a brushless system and 2 cell lipo and it's just stupid fast! So far I've invested a total of $275-300,including purchase and some spare parts. Good luck, friend. Hopefully there's some useful input for you.

A little more....

The input I've gotten from the members here has been absolutely priceless. Also, check out the 1:18 forum and see which members have posted photos of their projects. It'll give you some great ideas.
