I just got one of these and what are the best upgrades they have? are there any better motors for them or anything to improve speed?

you got a mini (1:18)... not a micro(1:32). the baja is just a supped up version of the mini-T, as they share most of the parts (slightly different chassis, that's it, i believe)

i just got one too... i'm going with a mamba brushless system and LiPo batteries.

oh... and to put an overall answer on your question... YES! there are lots and lots of hop-ups and upgrades that you can get for these little trucks. welcome to the hobby!

prepare to open up your wallet...

No i have a micro baja. 1:32 scale. not a mini. are there any upgrades for a micro baja?

The cool thing about the mini and micro's from Losi are that there are tons (or soon to be) of hop ups and they aren't super expensive. I have a Mini-T that I just play around with, but I like the fact that if I break something it's not a ton o' cash to fix.

Have it listed at team losi's site...

my appologies! i was under the impression there were only micro-T's... i guess it only makes sense that they shrink the baja too...

the same things i said about the mini's apply to the micros. most of the parts are interchangeable (if not all)

i love this forum, but for this scale, that forum is much more active. enjoy the new bug... man, that thing is tiny!

yep looks like the same exact chassis, different wheels and body. so any mods or upgrades you see for the micro-t should work for this rig as well.

check your trans, the case was to tight on some out of the box. loosen the screws then just snug them to free it up. bearings in the wheels and axle carriers. stiffer springs ( the spring kit for the xmod TRUCKS fits these shocks and you get a set of different rate springs for 10 bux..)

I've seen upgrades to the front "tie rods" but i havent broken one of mine yet.

I've also seen tons of aluminum hopups and stuff, but the one i feel is almost mandatory is the threaded axles.. those e-clips are TINY!!

have fun with it man!

heres mine on a little ramp i found at walmart.
