Hey everyone
I have bought a used losi comp crawler so it came without motor. Now the problem is that i can't find anything about which pinion i shall use
No where to look for which spur there is in the gearbox for standart. The problem is that there are so many different types so i dont get it… some place have i seen that it should be betveen 10-13 tooth but which pitch do losi use

Welcime to RCTalk.

Do you know which specific model you have? Got pics?

Losi has always had exploded views, instruction manuals, etc. All you need to do is find those, and the original part numbers will be listed in them. Then searching for those part numbers will find the info you need. The manual will also likely contain a parts list with this info and a description, usually telling what the gears are, as well as a list of optional parts.

Is this it?

Looking at the pinion, and taking a stab at it using a photo editing program, it looks like a 20t pinion.

If you take the mating gear, and measure the outside diameter of the gear and count the teeth, you can find out the pitch of the gear. That looks like it might be a 48p gearset. Then all you need to know is the diameter of the motor shaft. Based on the exploded view, I am going to guess that is a 1/8" shaft.

But verify that by getting the measurements from the mating gear - tooth count, and outside diameter and share that info here.

The stock pinion was a 12T 48P pinion. The part number for the stock pinion is LOS4112, but you dont need the stock one. Any 48P pinion will do. doesn't even have to be 12T but that would be a good place to start.
Where did you find that? The Comp Crawler was a kit, minus electronics and pinion according to what I have found. The only info I could find on the recommended pinion was the exploded views I shared above, which shows a 20t, and says "not included" on the exploded view. It is also not listed in the parts list.

The Losi Night Crawler which is similar, also came with a 20T pinion.

Prolly a bad ChatGPT answer that I didn't verify. I deleted my response.
