yeah when i get new ones I'm gettin big bores as my first main upgrade I'm just wondering whats good and whats not, I'm a noob so i wanna learn whats good and whats bad and what to 100% stay away from unless i get in the mood to do a write up on a product!

i don do ebay myself and i dont have anyone else that does so i can't really get good deals!

Those are pretty decent shocks, but the springs are really weak. You WILL need to replace them with something like Trinity monster blue or black springs.

On my maxx I run Dynamite/Losi shocks with rpm dual stage pistons, and trinity blue springs. This set up has worked great for me for a lot of years. On my sons maxx we run Unlimited Engineering shocks, just four, one on each corner. They are basically the same as the Ofna rear buggy shocks. This set up is really nice as well.

I ran that setup as well and really liked it for a basher. The OFNA 9.5 shocks appear very similar, but the UE's are in between the rear and front length of the 9.5 shocks.

Even if you do go with the big bores, plan on getting new springs as the ones on the big bores are soft soft soft!
