anyone have any info on the next AE touring car?
I saw some spycam pics of the TC5 on Rctech and was wondering if it was coming soon or still in development....gonna be belt drive from what I saw...

Did AE not just bring out the TC4? What's the reason for going belt drive,Isn't shaft better?

belt has less rolling resistance....someone came into the shop yesterday and showed us a website w/ spy pics from a recent nationals race.....Baker was using it and apparently went from a so-so driver (from what everyone was saying about it) to a mac-daddy whoop ass lap throwing MF......

just so you know shaft vs. belt is the a revo vs. savage thread. They both have there up's and down's
Shaft is faster off the line
belt can have a higher top end.
with belt you dont have torque steer
shart is more durable.

I heard tales of it being under development. They are stunting the hype release due to not wanting a drop in sales of their newly released TC4 FT. We may see it and hear more after this Holiday season

This is all hearsay.

With all this being said, I am wondering if they are going to redesign the NTC3now.

Well I decided to start doing some research on the possible tc5,The info I'm pretty sure is newest to oldest and it's all quoted for the AE website.

Comments:When will the car that was run by the team drivers in the invitational class at the recent REEDY RACE be in production? Thanks

We are always evaluating the market and reader requests for new products. Sorry, we won’t comment on products we haven’t announced. Please check our web site News > Announcements or Products > New Products sections for any news on upcoming products."

Electric kit referenced:fact team tc4 belt
Comments:1. when can we get up close reviews and pics of the prototype belt driven car ran at the reedy race....2. I'm a firm believer faster is better, with that in mind i hope the internal ratio is lower than our all so favorite 2.5

Good question Matt. Being that the vehicle is an early prototype we may not see any info on the car for quite some time as specs will change a lot during its development."

"Your name: ben
Electric kit referenced: none
Comments: rumors I'm hearing that a new generation b5/t5 may be coming out with the release of the rc10gt2...that true? it seems too soon and a waste since i barely just got my b4

Sorry, we won’t comment on products we haven’t announced. Please check our web site News > Announcements or Products > New Products sections for any news on upcoming products."

Here is a "claimed spy photo of the tc5 " Being that the photo is claimed to be a "tc5". I cannot guarantee that this is a TC5.

I talked to Tony Phallen and they ARE DEFINANTLY going to produce it. Just so you guys know, Belt is better for modified classes over shaft, which is good for stock and 19t. Most of the obvious reasons have been said. Plus, I also think in my opinion, you can tune a belt cars drive-train more (ie. belt tension, pully size, belt teeth number, lubrication, belt size, etc).
