The R/C that got me started in all of this rc mess was the Tamiya Chevy S-10, a little electric truck based off an on-road chassis. Very simple but I always thought looked very cool, mine was even painted the same scheme you see on the box. I've since long traded it off for bigger and better rc's as time went on, now I'd like to get another one.

Problem is the Tamyia Chevy S-10 is discontinued the only one I see that's similar is the Tamyia Ford F-150. I'm wondering are there any changes from the S-10 to the F-150 other then a body? I've found an S-10 or two on eBay but before I place a bid I'd like to know I could find parts for it, if the parts from the F-150 fits then I'd much prefer to go with the S-10.

Anyone know more about the history of these two trucks?

Not really sure on the trucks. A few years ago I sold way over $1000 worth of Tamiya cars and parts for $40 dollars, before I found out they were worth something. The cars had very small differences, such as a swing arm rear vs independent rear suspension. Then there was the 3 position speed control vs the sweep coil. On the cars, other than the 4WDs, all the parts were interchangable, and all mounted into the same 'tub'.
I'm guessing, if both trucks were in the same era that they are very similar. However, since one has been discontinued, it's a tough call.
