title says it all. I'm trying to replace the piston sleeve cylinder because there is a large score on it. How do you remove the piston sleeve cylinder?

When ya take the backplate off you will be able to see the inner lip of the sleeve. (While pistons in still) Then, I use a toothbrush, and take the rounded end, and tap the sleeve (While head is removed..duh..lol) and it will slide up. Then just pull it out, and youll be able to take the conection rod off the crank.

Try leaving the flywheel connected, then put a couple of wire ties up the exhaust port, then turn the flywheel to force the sleeve up.

BTW: there is a spring and pin in the crankshaft. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T LOSE THESE! Be sure and they are reinstalled when you put the engine back together, or else you wont be able to turn your mill over.

Also, when you reassemble, use some sensor safe RTV to seal up the carb and backplate.

good luck!

The S-25 is by far the hardest engine you will ever try to remove a sleeve from. Mine took me 3 days to remove it!! When I got done there was about 100 broken cable ties, 1/2 a toothbrush, 2 popsicle sticks and a pint of my blood in the engine block!

Apparently you haven't worked on my Picco .26 then
