This will contain lots of pics because I love them and apparently lots of you do as well
Recently I got a .18 new engine for this car. A Chinese two-speed is very cheap and reliable, so why not convert it
The previous engine, even with airleak, couldn't really move the car: the tires were just drifting. So I decided to move the weight for a large part to the rear, like I succesfully did in my CEN SP1 GP
I'm not done yet, but I'm very far. Here's the process:
First, I removed the engine, fuel tank, all electronics and the parallel chassis plate/stiffener/whatever
Installed the new two-speed housing but realised why not move the brakes to the back, so that I don't have to touch the upper chassis. While doing so, I did something horribly genius
Then, I've moved the throttle & brake servo to the back, and the chassis stiffening rod downwards to make place for the exhaust:
It turned out that the brake disc was a bit too large and was touching the pullstart, so I dremeled the pullstart as well as the brake disc (it fits and still brakes perfectly now):
This car is amazing, it weighs very little and soon it's gonna have a .18 with a two speed with the COG in the back
