hi i'm new to nitro trucks i have a t-maxx 2.5 i am having problems with the reverse gear sometimes it goes into reverse then it won't go back to forward drive and has anyone got the correct carb settings cheers dazza

well one make sure you come to a complete stop for it to engage because if you don't nothing will happen. and two it wouldn't be your carb settings cause those tune the engine and have nothing to do with the reverse gear. but it sounds to me likt you should get rid of it and get and foc kit but idk if it sounds the gears are going or not.

The best thing you can do for a Maxx is remove reverse. The reverse is always an issue with these, if the rpms are too high it wont switch, if you are not at a dead stop it won't switch. It will improve bottom end excelleration, it removes a bunch of crap, weight, and rotational mass from the tranny, as well as being able to remove the extra servo. The forward only conversion, imo, is the best low cost mod you can do.

I had the forward only in my maxx and just did it to my revo. It is a good mod, easy to do, and very cost effective. Good luck.
