Probably payed them to say that or Traxxas is a sponsor for the mag. Look around and reputable forums like this and most will say Savage>T-Maxx. Personally I would trust the forums.

yeah i know savage owns it says the maxx is better cause u dont need a glow igniter wtf lazy azz ppl

That is an old article. I remember that discussion. Lets's remember that the TMAXX was the platform that revolutionized the MT class and the RTR RC's. But tme tmaxx 3.3 losing to a savage X due to Wheelies and not needing an ignitor is just funny. I have been at the LHS and spoke to many new kids and adults about both. Both are great platforms and both have pros and cons but the wheelie factor ..come one people!!!

I say you could have fun with both but the end user will figure out what is better through experience.

t-maxx is cheezy and the easy start i have had nothing but problems with it my jato melted the so called glowstarter wire and it never worked very well anyway plus it slips and i have to blowdry my car to start it traxxas is TRASH!!

I never had one problem out of any of my Traxxas rc trucks or cars nitro or electric.

HPI is (much) better for durability, Traxxas is better for cheapo parts support and just the random neighborhood basher.

yeah but if u look price wise u get way more bang for your buck in a savage vs. a maxx 3.3 and its hpi or traxxas

Personally, I have no complaints about the Tmaxx. I got a great deal of time and enjoyment out of mine.
Now that I have the Savage X, I can only say that it's DEFINATELY a step up from the Maxx.

Ill do a savage next. My Tmaxx has nothing except servos and battery boxes thats still traxxas. I want to see what a savage is like.

i had the original maxx and it was trash the tranny had problems and the damn bulkheads kept breakin

Well I was just out jumping my TMaxx in the front yard. Took it off some good ones-- about 15 feet or so. Nothing broke :green-grin: I thought for sure a couple times that one of the a-arms had snapped when it landed on the front left wheel. But nope, it got up and kept driving.

What I'm saying is, I guess the TMaxx isn't bad for durability, the Savage is just alot better.

Nathan you need to give traxxas a little more of a chance. you can't just base all your opinions on a old 1.5 maxx that was beat to hell before you got it. look at your jato, if you were to put a pull starter on it you would have no problems at all with it. they have some bad points but they also have good stuff. thats just my 2 cents.

And yes now that I have a savage I have to say that it would when in a bashing contest compared to when i had a maxx but I'm sure the traxxas 3.3 has been aproved since the 1.5.

yeah what besides some longer arms some bigger PLASTIC driveshafts and the motor/tranny has been changed my maxx may have been trashed but even after i rebuilt the whole tranny and front end they still had problems the biggest thing i noticed is that the maxx has one problem and it kills everything else with it I'm sure that i would ahve had better experiances with a new one but the big problems i had i fixed and they broke again

ok not intending to sound hypocritical here or make myself look bad but after many long winded discussions with zachary i have decided that all my problems were because the maxx i had was trashed to start with so sorry all of you maxx guys out there ... i am gettiung a maxx soon and me and zachary will post our true savage vs. maxx results

its not an old 1.5 cause i told that guy to screw off

IMO Traxxas (or as I like to call them Trashas) is a marketing firm that happens to make rc vehicles.
The TMaxx needs to be retired, its a glass jaw truck
