Am getting an upgrade kit for my old T, ( yes I still have one of my old ones, the jackass who was going to buy the other one backed out on me) anyway, I was thinking......what the hell good does the kit do if I have no engine to go in it.

I called Traxxas and according to "them" it will be another 4 to 6 weeks before any 2.5's will be available to purchase.

So anyway just thinking out loud and wanted to share.

save your money, my 2.5 is nothing but a pain in my ass. Why not get a sirio 3.0? you can usually find em cheap on ebay.

XTM .18 $99.00 and runs with the 2.5! Besides if you don't run on looong tracks all the rpms don't do you any good anyway.

Lason, I don't have the 2.5, but I have only good reviews about it. What kind of crap is it giving you? I thought about getting one for kicks....But if its that bad I may not.:llama: ...Heh, LAMA

I agree with EP. I just bought the .21 for my T-maxx. Better engine. Only thing is u have to buy a conversion kit.

$150 for an engine and another $150 for the conversion kit. Another $50 - $200 beefing up the drive train to take the punishment of a .21. It is, however, well worth every cent IMHO.

yes i have the XTM .21 conversion kit which is very nice, and i have the XTM 24.7 engine. it is much more powerfull that the 2.5 almost doulbe the horse power.
