T-Maxx troubles

Was a long time ago (7-8 years) and I wasn't that great then. The 2.5 and 3.3 run the same carb, so if it worked on the 3.3, it should work on the 2.5. I think part of my issue was that I expected more out of the t-maxx in stock form. The ol 2.5 just should have never found it's way to a MT IMHO. The 3.3 didn't exist then and it's a much better match for the t-maxx/revo.

thank you guys for all your help with my tuning issues. i found out that my one way was going bad...hence my starting troubles. I replaced the one way and now its firing up fine.

Now its time to get dirty

An 11k carb on a 3.3? BRILLIANT! I'm gonna look for a cheap one on ebay, I got a pile of stock parts that will soon be my 2.5 revo, back from the dead.....again! I'm just fed up with the 3.3 finicky tuning thing.

this is prolly a dumb question but wats a one way???

It's a bearing that spins in one direction and locks onto the shaft in the opposite direction. Used in RC's primarily on front axles on on-road cars, engine starter bearings and two speed mechanisms. Also referred to as a "roller clutch".

Good luck. OS carbs always bring a premium price. I'm pretty sure there are some OFNA big block carbs that fit as well that work well. May want to do some searching on that.

when iam having trouble with the ez-start system, i reverse the wires on the motor. this seperates the motor and gears from the one way bearing. if the motor and gears spin and the engine doesn't then, it might be somthing on the other side of the one way bearing . but if the engine spins backwards then the one way bearing is locked up.
