Ok. I am completely new to nitro. I bought a T-maxx 2.5 from a guy at work and I am having problems. I have it tuned and running fantastic in most aspects, the problem is that once the engine warms up, it cuts out after coming off the throttle from high speed. Once it cuts out is very hard to get it to restart.
I don't know what to do. The truck has excellent take off and top speed, it has blue smoke, idle sounds perfect, the engine isn't overheating, and it does the pinch test flawlessly, Someone told me it sounded like the piston and sleeve were on the way out. I moved the flywheel and it seems to have good compression. Does anyone have any ideas?

The last time I experienced an engine that was very difficult to start when it was hot, I soon had realized that the compression was nearly zero.

Most likely just a tuning problem, try leaning it and richening it after its warmed up.

Take out the glow plug and turn the flywheel. Then you can feel the pinch, not the seal necessarily. I've had engines that are flat out dead (piston goes through the top of the sleeve when disassembled), but when the cylinder is wet with fuel or ARO, with the glow plug in, compression feels ok.
