T-maxx transmission issue

I have a t-maxx 3.3 and I have had to adjust my slipper clutch because it was not shifting to second properly and I have since gotten that fixed. It then was shifting too early and I adjusted the screw in the transmission to fix that also. My problem now is that sometimes it will not shift down to first and I cannot get it adjusted to work right. Any suggestions?

I'd take the trans apart and clean everything. Inspect the 2 speed pawl mechanism. You may have a bur on it or some plastic dust build up that it causing it to not retract.

Olds that sounds very plausible to get it gummed up. I would blow it out with some compressed air and see what happens.
