Hey guys new to the forum and I have a question about my tmaxx. Its an older 2.5 that I got used and no matter what I do I can't get the toe right. The tie rods are too long (actually the link between the tie rod ends)and when I ordered new ones they are the wrong size also. Any suggestions?

You could order the RPM true track setup for the rear. It eliminates the toe link adjustment all together. You would have to get a set of Revo spec driveshafts (I think anyways), because the stock black driveshafts are smaller in diameter than the RPM true track bearings will allow.

Nitro4910 is correct. You are probably using the wrong rods. You could order the proper rods or even upgrade to a Lunsford brand rod. They make rods in just about every size you can imagine.

sounds like they put smaller a arms on it. you can get smaller rods or bigger a arms

If it's close maybe you need to adjust the pillow balls. They should'nt be all the way in, but not too far out either.

I don't know if it matters, but I have the aluminum integy a arms all around.

What does the front axle carriers/ Steering blocks look like? Where the rod end attaches does it have a plastic piece top and bottom or just one piece sticking out? This will determine which rods you will need to be the correct length.

they are the one peice integy. It is weird because the back has the same problem. the front linkage is integy also if that makes a difference.

There are 3 different sized toe links/tie rods that have been used for the different model TMaxxs.

#1: The original Narrow maxx (short a-arms and .15/2.5 style axle carriers)
#2: 2.5 Maxx with wide a-arms and .15/2.5 style carriers: approx ½ inch longer than #1
#3: 3.3 Maxx with wide a-arms and revo spec axle carriers. approx ½ inch longer than #2

You need to determine which parts you are using in combination to determine the toe link length.
