Anyone know who if anyone makes steel second gear set for t-maxx? I keep stripping second gear. I know a company called OTB sold them, but they are no longer in bisiness. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help

Robinson Racing does make steel gears for the Tmaxx. We make some gears but they are made out of aluminum.

THat I'm aware of, no-one makes the 2speed gears out of anything, but traxxas plastic gears.

Like you said, OTB is out of business and they were the only ones I ever found when I was looking a year or so ago.

I guess I typed in invisible ink http://www.robinsonracing.com/catalog/catalog.html Go to the Traxxas section botom left and click Tranny Gears, viola! a full hardened steel 2 speed setup!

Either I'm blind or... I'm blind, but I don't see the two speed gears. I see the two speed top shaft, but not the gears it runs against.

These are what I thought was being asked about:

If that's the case, then I don't see them at RRP, but I could be blind...

To my knowledge that is the first and second gear on the 2 speed in the tranny, plus the shaft. Haha, I said shaft!

Nope. That's the top shaft that the actual spur gear bolts to. It is 2 of the 2 speed gears, but the other two are the ones in the pic that I was talking about. The larger ones that are connected to the one-way bearing inside the transmission.

I have posted the other gears of which you speak (at least I think).

I guess it doesn't really matter... since we don't really know what the guy is looking for.

I have bought all the RRP trans gears that they offer and none of them are the larger two speed gears (replacements for 4984 and 4985). Then make a replacement for every other gear in the trans but those two.

Olds is right I'm almost positive, nobody currently makes the 2-speed gears except Traxxas in plastic. the top shaft, forward primary, reverse primary and even output gears I've seen done but not the 2-speed gears

check on ebay for OTB and UNLIMITED ENGINEERING WEB SITE and the forum ...its sure you gona find some
