I just got my t-maxx and I love it however it rolls over very easy it is a .15 with the narrow track with which is probally part of the reason but I want to keep it that way anyway my truck has the stock shocks and aftermarket aluminum shock towers I was wondering what I could do to help with the body roll with out spending a ton of money. I was wondering if adding shock spacers would help? Thanks Jesse G

Hey Jesse, It's the nature of the beast. It's a monster truck, meaning it's heavy and the CG (center of gravity) is high. You can spend no money and solve the problem by letting off the gas prior to making a turn.;) But I'm sure that's not the answer you were looking for.

A couple of things;

1) You can lower your truck slightly by using the different shock mounting holes on your shock towers and control arms (A-arms). No $, very little time.

2) You can lower it further by using shock limiters placed on the shock shafts inside of the shock body. No $, a couple hours well spent.

3) You can widen the truck by using the oversized wheels hexes (Minimal $, very little time) or by buying wheels with an offset (now you are getting into some $, but very little time).

4) This is the least expensive and most fun....drive that bad boy....refuel and drive it some more, you will find that there is more to driving one of these things than pulling the trigger back as far as it goes and hoping you don't hit anything. Seriously a little more time at the wheel and you will notice a big difference in your ability to keep it upright and avoid obstacles.

Hope this helps,

Mr T

When I race it at a track, I move the shocks on the towers so that the truck becomes lower to the ground. I also changed the shock springs for some stiffer ones. I used the Trinity blue springs. That should help from rolloing over. It also helps to slow down going into the turn.

You have the old style Maxx. I started out with one, and got the Pro Line suspension for it. Made it 2 inches wider and 2 inches lower.
Now all you have to get is the stock Tmaxx A-arms, and you're set. The new suspension is lower and wider than your current setup.

all that helps thanks I did kind of go nuts with it when I tried out for the first time and rolled it I was used to my electric rustler that had T-Maxx shocks on it that thing will take a corner like a ferarri lol I had also lowered it and its extremely light compared to my new BEAST!!!

tires

Hey, are your tires still fairly new? I experienced the same thing too when my maxx tires were new. After 1 gallons of fuel, after my tires broke in (the outside edge), it has less roll over. I think the sharp outside edge cause the flipping. I tried to put 40 series big job, wow what a difference. Then, i add aluminium parts, it further helps, i guess for extra weight. Hope all help. Don't get pissed abt Tmaxx. They are good.

Yeah actually they are brand new when I bought the truck on ebay it diddnt come with tires so I bought brand new ones. I also just bought some aluminum arms and some rpm rims and tires with a wider outward offset so that should help and the rims are coming with used tires so I should be set :) thanks for the info about the tires I never even thought of that lol
