ok this is my friends T-maxx and he can only control the truck within 5 ft and then it goes out of range. We think something is wrong with the antennae on the truck. Also starting this thing sux. There are 3 people with t-maxxes and Trevor's(this guys) has a horrible time starting. I dont know if the car isnt getting fuel through the lines or what. Anyways We just want to fix the 5ft thing I think I can fix the other things.

On the radio problem, does it happen in one area or all areas? Just thinking maybe interference? Is the antenna cut or damaged on the truck? Are you using the stock AM radio?

ok he thinks he damaged the antennae on the truck. The batteries were brand new. I'm going to check the antennae right now. It's not interference it's stock so it must be am.

Check the antenna where it's soldered at the receiver, even if you cut off about a foot from the antennae it will still get really good range. I have a stock T-Maxx with the full antennae length, I can still go to the end of where we bash (about a football field or further) and my buddys that only has enough antennae cord to just reach the top of the mast plus 1 inch can still go as far, so I would think that most likely the solder joint at the receiver has come unsoldered or the antennae cord has pulled away from the solder. I usually leave some slack in the receiver box to avoid it pulling out upon a crash.
