T-maxx Hump Pack??????

I was wondering what everybody thought about going with a 6V hump pack instead of the 4V system. I have found a pretty need up-grade by Fullforce here is a link to the part - http://www.fullforcerc.com/carbon_radio_tray.htm Has anybody ever used this and is it junk or worth the money. Also I was going to go with a venom pack is that the best or is there better out there? Show me some pictures of how you guys have set your trucks up with a hump pack. Thanks Ben

Iam running a reedy 1600 five cell hump pack and it works great. I mounted it in the front of the truck on the shock tower my hump pack is protected by the roll cage. In the picture it shows a ofna 1700 hump pack but i was not satisfied with its performance.

Thanks for the pictures! So you would you go with the mounting tray if I don't have a roll cage? Are venom batts good ones? And I have an attachment that came with my charger that can go from a tamiya plug to I believe like a RX plug????? will that work for most hump packs?

Nothing wrong with Venom batteries at all, and the charger adapter will work.

I don't know that it is a gimmick, but I would think it would be better to servo-tape your receiver battery elsewhere on the chassis vs. sticking the receiver farther up in the air where it could get damaged. Just an opinion. If you like it then far be it for me to dissuade you!

I personally would not run that battery tray just for safety reasons. I would remove the stock battery box and drill some holes for the other battery and double side tape it in and run two zip ties over it to hold it down. Here is a picture of the header card that my battery came in with part number.

2600mah AA 6 cell pack with switch and charging jack. Would be the last pack you would need to buy for a few years. And at that capacity, it would last all day long without a worry.

I made my own AA sized packs for all my rigs except my aftershock and I really like not worrying about running out of juice when I'm out running for 3-4 hours at a whack.

That one comes with an 100mah overnight (actually 24 hour) charger. It would require 26 hours roughly to charge it fully from dead. I normally temp my AA packs and they peak charge when they hit about 95-100 degrees F.

i thought about that. if you have some kind of roll cage yeah i guess you could zip tie it to the roll cage like bad73rs did. but who makes lipo's like that

still new to the game but I'll share

The guy at my hobby shop suggested a hump pack before I even got my truck home so I had to do some light mods on my 3.3 but it works great. I'm using a venom and so far no problems. I'll post pics if you're intersted and when I get to a computer (on the iPhone now)

I never bought one of those. I made my own. And yes, I'm still happy with mine. One of them resides in my jato and another in my savage. Can't find a good place for one on the aftershock, so I stuck with a typical 1400mah flat pack. Kind of stinks since it runs 3 servos and the other rigs run 2. The AA packs I made are duracell and energizer 2000mah and 2150mah cells.
