20-25 a gal for O'donnel 20%. The price depends if the LHS owner is being a peepee or a nice guy on that day.

ok now something is wrong here because i pay 23.00 for a gal of O'Donnell 20% and i live in hawaii in which the fuel needs to be flew in, why is that? someones screwing someone

Nope. My price of $33/gallon was based on Wildcat's wholesale price + overland freight + ocean freight + hazmat fees. In order to drive the price below $27 per gallon I'd need to ship down 90+ cases of fuel!

I suspect that your shipping component costs are lower than ours. Economies of scale, etc.

I've had a jug for 11 months now that I still use and it still runs fine.

11 Mounths !!!!!!!!!!!!!..............i thought it went bad after 1. lol

Hey Woody,
can't you have tower hobbies ship you some fuel? or is that not permitted via an FPO.

I was in the USN from 1982 - 1986 IC2 on the USS Frederick LST 1184. which is now decommissioned and a part of the Mexican Navy. :arrr:

I had been to Okinawa myself while on a WESTPAC.

God i miss those days, but life now ain't too bad either, i'm a manager for a huge railroad in New York (GRAND CENTRAL), and have a nice little family and a home on Long Island.

Can fuel really last more than 1 mounth ??? cause i was told all the stuff inside goes bad after 1 mounth..............

So long as the container is sealed correctly and not stored in direct sunlight (nitromethane breaks down more rapidly in the presence of UV radiation) fuel can last a long, long time.

I've been using my current gallon of 20% O'Donnell fuel for well over two months. I also have a three-or-four-month-old gallon jug of 30% Red Max fuel in my airplane box (my YS engines love the stuff). The fuel works just fine.

Should i start storing it in the house know ?¿?¿?¿ cause iall my cars and trucks are in the garage w/ my tools and fuel............so should i make a space in my room or is it ok ?¿?¿?¿ And when u said if it is sealed right , what u mean i run Oddonell' 20%. I just turn the cap back on after i fill up my fuel bottle, is that right or should i do somethin' else 2 it ¿?¿?¿?

if would keep that seal it comes with it on it when you put the cap back on.

At my lhs i pay 22$ for 1 gallon of 20% backyard basher.

Oddonell doesn't came w/ a seal...........i get mine str8 from the LHS out of a sealed 6 gallon box that has separated gallons............

bah, you guys have it good... i pay £15 for half a gallon at my LHS :(
(thats about $28)

Odonell doenst come w/ a seal just the cape..........................

Hey StrechM,
The yen rate is actually like 106 here, but who's counting?? Yeah, gas here is twice as much! I try to conserve, which is running a few days before we have a bash just to make sure everything is working fine. Then of course the actual bash day. Other than that, I don't hardly ever run. Unless of course I just feel the urge! I recently had to break in a new engine. Talk about a waste of nitro fuel.

Woody
Hey Woody, I've been there a few yrears ago on an LST. I bet you can't wait to get off that rock. Can't anyone send you a few qts. of fuel thru the FPO? If you can, I'd send you some. Later

make sure you don't leave the fuel container on a concrete floor,it should be stored on a shelf or bench.as the gallon gets empty (especially if you don't plan on using it for a while, like over the winter) squeeze the jug untill the fuel level gets near the top of the jug then cap it,this way there is less air stored with the fuel in the bottle.also try to keep the fuel stored at a constant temperature.
