i hope someone can help me on this problem. i have a t-maxx and rustler, but on the t-maxx I'm having a heating problem. to start out, i get it running for about a minute and bring it in, look at it, and the top of the head is smoking, i almost thought that it was the wd40 buring off, but it shouldnt take no 5 minutes though. i even went to factory settings too. i talked with traxxas and did all kinds of replacing, new carb, and engine case, so my last thought is the kind of fuel. i have the same problem on the rustler, but not as bad, and i dont now what temp its runs at either, but what i can tell you is, if i spit on my finger and put it up to the head it sizzles, so i know its hot does any STRONGLY RECOMMEND a brand i am using. i was thing about going back to the traxxas top fuel, sidewinder is what i am using. Has anyone had this problem before, if you haven, be glad, its because its a pain!!!

I am not an advocate for all Traxxas products, but I have found that Traxxas Top Fuel, especially 20%, works best with their engines.

I used Sidewinder fuel in a Maxx a couple of years ago with no ill effects. Have you checked for an air leak?

20% nitro, 12% oil, i was just thinking about running with the traxxas fuel
