T-maxx Defined....

OK..I'm new to the nitro scene. Have been looking at some threads trying to gain a little more knowdledge on the truck....and I am puzzled on what some if this stuff is and what it means. Stuff like spur gears, and slipper clutch...And a few other ones I can't remember right now. What is all this stuff? What stuff do i need to know or get to know?
