hey everyone, problems are idle fluctuation and stalling(just after starting) and when i adjust the idle screw stuff all happens, it is my first nitro and at this rate my last......please help....

it also has fuel or oil spray from the flywheel on the chassis plate and shell could that be the reason why its run like crap??

first thing i'd do is set everything back to the factory settings. they're listed in the booklet that you got with your truck. once you've done that, start with your low speed needle. depending on it's performance after a few short runs you'll want to lean it or richen it. if it's bogging down right off the line then lean it a bit, when i say a bit i mean a small amount, 1/16th of a turn. the lsn is sensitive so take your time and make very small adjustments. after each adjustment run it for a few minutes to see what the change effected and always make sure you're getting a good amount of smoke out of the pipe. no consistent smoke or almost none at all means it's too lean and you'll be in trouble if you continue to run it that way. after tuning the lsn, do the same for the high speed needle. small adjustments until you've got it going well and it isn't too lean.

as for the oil on the fly wheel, my first guess would be that you may have a leak some where near your carborator. make sure your air filter is sitting on the carb opening properly and then check to make sure the nut that holds the carb tight on the engine block isn't loose. if it is, then take your airfilter off and loosen the nut a little bit more. put your thumb on the carb opening and push down with some pressure, not a ton, but enough. tighten the nut while you're holding the carb down with your thumb.

for more tuning help there are a ton of links on the web to check out as well as on this forum. search for them if problems persist. good luck and hope some if not all of the above helps...

yeah dont be too worried if you're running a trx i had mine once go up to 400 degrees with almost no smoke off the head

yeah its very tempremental, sometimes will run great, other times its crap... if i still have a heat problem would thicker copper head gasket help?? I'm about to go and do a test and tune with it so i'll post what i find out :)

If you are getting up to 400 degrees be VERY worried!!! That is way too freaking hot!!!

May want to rule out an air leak either in the fuel system or with the mill itself.

i have been told it mite be the front bearing/seal, how do i fix the bloody thing, i just got back from my run and its still being tempremental but i still had heaps of fun today(even with it running like crap)

its had not that much (three weeks afta i got it i crash it then it just sat),
when i first started it and did the run in thing it leaked, unless it a factory dud?

My trx 2.5r did the same thing leaking from the bearing and it still does it I ain't to worried.

Sry about not waiting five but may I add it did it rite from the factory.

it wasn't smokin or nothing just running about 380 so i shut it off and completely retuned

took it out last thursday and it did idle high but it ran realy good,
other than that i had a blast (and chased about 7 birds LMAO)
