t maxx 3.3 ish

rite i have a tmaxx 3.3 well the engine is any i think the rest of it is a 2.5
when on tick over it jurks forward unless u turn tick over rite down to point it wants to stall all the time
also it doesn't like changing into reverse and from reverse to forward but changes gear fine any ideas

i have a 3.3, but i believe that all of the 2.5's had a little stutter when they take off. as far as i know all of the 3.3's are forward only.

the 2.5 transmissions arnt really made to handle the power from the 3.3 so maybe its the transmission or maybe u should look into getting a foc
is ur transmission black or grey ??

The 2.5 maxx transmissions did that, but it should idle low enough to not lurch. If your unable to idle the engine down enough to make it not lurch, but have it die, then your tune is off. You are more than likely too lean or rich on the LSN. That's what controls fuel flow at lower RPM's. If it's too lean, the carb has to almost close for it to idle down, then it just dies due to lack of air. If it's too rich, it loads up really quick and blubbers itself until it stalls.

as far as i know all of the 3.3's are forward only.

the 4908 extended version have FOC on them. the regular one (4909), like i have has reverse on it.
