Well then why does it say just install in vehicle and its ready to run??? Are they trying to rip you off?

Yes you would neeed to do some upgrading. It has about twice the torque of the 2.5 so it would tear up some stock stuff. Also there is the Ofna Picco .26 that even with the special mount it needs is cheaper then the OS. Just a though.

Yeah I've looked at the piccos quit a bit! They are good engine from what i have heard!

the only thing that is stock on my truck is the tranny and drive shafts because i have never had to replace them and you should try and fix something if it aint broke!

Oh okay well i just wanted to make sure that putting that big of an engine in a MAXX would take some work! It didn't make sense when i read it because thats a big jump from a .15 to .21 o.s.

Yep. Upgrading to that or a picco will more than likely require the trans, diffs and probably center axles to be replaced with something stronger. At least to make it more durable.

I guess it is if you really are dead set on the maxx platform. Although, the MGT is a similar platform (more or less pan chassis), but comes with a BB in it. So upgrading of everything is unnecessary since it is built to deal with the power of a BB.
