T maxx 2.5

I put a 3.3 in my T maxx 2.5 and it keeps striping the spur gear in not even a quarter tank i put the motor closer and it is still happening i have went threw 3 plastic spur gears

steel or your tranny or engine bolts are loose

Do not go with a steel spur gear, you are asking for problems in the tranny or eating up clutch bells. I would check both your tranny mount screws and motor mount, make sure they are all tight, if the tranny screws are loose the tranny will shift and cause you to strip spurs.

check and c if motor mount is broken or loose

same problems here until I checked the transmission screws...and behold, they were loose. no probs now.
check all motor mount screws, both those that hold the engine to the chassis and the ones that hold the engine to the mount. while you are at it, go ahead and put blue loc-tite on the screws.

i found out that my tranny bottom mount screws were stripped
