I'm about to put a picco .26 maxx in my t maxx 2.5 and I'm wondering what clutch bell i should buy to pair with it I'm running a robinson racing 72 steel spur with 12 slipper pegs and a 20 tooth bell at the moment they only offer a 70 and 72 tooth spur for the 2.5 but offer many diff tooth clutch bells

Well you can stick with the stock for now and see how wheelie happy it is or you can go up to a 24 tooth for a bit more top end. Your probably gonna be wanting to upgrade to the grey 3.3 forward only trans with the better spur option eventually. Not sure how well the stock 72 with pegs will be holding up to the picco. I got the extended chassis and upgraded the driveline to hold my picco. Not gonna lie when i tell you I'm still upgrading things today to withstand the extra power. But i also suggest you upgrade as it breaks in order to know what all your gonna have to upgrade. Depending on your driving style you may be good with everything stock for a while. I have a habit of rough bashing myself.

yea thats prob the best thing to do but see the thing is i wanna stick with the short chassis on this max i really dont wanna move to the extended which i would need to put a grey transmission in the max

the #4910 maxx trans in plenty tough enough. I would do a FOC that is a must. You could also go with some robinson racing gear set if needed. I have a big block mach.26 paired up against the #4910 maxx trans and its held for like 4 gallons of fuel with no issues. I only have the FOC on it with stock plastic gears. Just make sure your slipper is adjusted correct. My buddy who has the grey trans in his truck runnin a axial .32 has blowed his trans out like 3 times so I do not think the grey trans is that much stronger. It just has better gearing options.

Alot of guys on here do not like the steel spurs. I don't mind them have not had any trouble with the steel spurs on my trucks. However i would recommend staying with the plastic spur to decrease rotational mass on the trans with all that added power. As long as your mesh is right you should have no problems running either spurs plastic or steel.:D

Yah prob pick up the front wheels and carryem as far and long as you hold down the go botton. I will be attempting the 3.4 conversion as soon as I can get the extra cash in.

The short chassis and a picco.26 is not a lot of fun to drive with low gearing. You will spend more time on your lid than not unless your easy on the throttle.
Move as much weight forward as possible to help keep the front down and gear up to help tame the torque.
