Ok I just got this T-MAXX truck and its been a blast. Then all of a sudden one day it decides not to start, what i mean by that is that it starts but dies after about 10-20 secs. It also dies when I give it gas. I took the motor off, cleaned everything, replaced glow plug, reset to factory settings, still nothing. Then I noticed gas squirting out from under the backplate of the carb. I took it of and there are some cracks in it. Could that be the problem??? To get that plate I gotta order the low speed spray bar also, 'cause it comes in a kit. Sooo any suggestions?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Any cracks in the carb that are leaking fuel/air are not good. They will cause erratic results, as you apparently are having.

Get a new carb of ebay. That would probably be the cheapest/easiest way to go.

I took the car to LHS they told me that I need to rebuild the carb, I bought the kit, rebuilt the card put everything together and still same thing. It wont start until I plug the tuning pipe and flood the carb. Then it starts, burns the fuel thats in the carb and dies. Whats going on?

I'm a rookie myself but did you go back to factory setting after the rebuild?

did it take a hard lick the time before it started having troubles?

Finally figured it out, tested the compression and guess what. Yep the engine is done. So I'm buying a new one. thanks for your help everyone

does any one have aluminum parts for tmaxx that they are willing to sell??? Can pay with paypal.
