Speak all things. Nothing is off limits. That is my only rule. :)

So a pic of most of my stable
All the cars Sort of.webp

Messy work bench for sure.

From left to right. Mini Losi JRX2, the 970 is an AE RC10T6.4. Big Red Maxxis behind it is the AE PRO4. Mini Losi T 2.0. Last is the AE MT14. Not shown is my kids Slyder. Which has proven to be quite reliable.

A-line Track 2.webp

Current back yard track. I call it A-line. After a world famous mountain bike trail in Whistler, Canada. The key is to have flexibility. Like the bike trail, you can mix it up. Take different lines, have your own fun. So this is an outdoor rug on top of mulch. Basically a modified oval, but you can add turns/lines/jumps to make it whatever. But you can go on the mulch. It's all good. The cones represent possible turns. You can't really tell, but it's mostly off-camber fall lines. The local track uses cones, so I like to practice not seeing the car in the same manner. Trees also add a degree of difficulty. I painted the wooden jumps to blend in with the carpet, the wife appreciates that. :) All scale of cars can run on this track. Some are better than others.

401 Track.webp

This is the 401 track. Named after a famous mountain bike trail in Crested Butte, Colorado. Still work in progress. That's my fence on the left. I'm actually not supposed to do something like this due to HOA rules. But I can set up and take down easily. I can reuse the wooden jumps from A-line on this. This is where you can go flat out full trigger with the bigger machines. It does get much dirtier than A-line, tho.

Thanks for watching!

I'll keep posting updates. Hope you guys will too :)

Two really innovative tracks. Like that you have named them after favorites too. Yeah, trees bring an element of "excitement" to a track - for sure. :D Indeed, know the hassles of navigating the HOA's. We got 'em here too. Wow! Look at all that wide-open space. To die for. Now that's nitro RC country.

Nice collection of RCs. Multi scale mixes up the fun. Glad you and the kids are enjoying them. Interesting 1up Racing decal ruler in the pix. Didn't know they offered that. Have it on my wish list for next order that goes in.

Once had a backyard track in Georgia (USA) running through a stand of pines. My backyard track now a grass track tri-oval. -AC

So I got one of these. Lightly Used. Lots of spares. Still Haven't figured out the electronics. Chassis and extras seem awesome.

What do you guys use for a motor and esc for 1/12 scale racing? I've tried some stuff, just not having good, reliable luck.

With my RC10T, I'm using Castle now. Love it. Seems legit. Futaba FPV radio. That's all I really need.

But for 1/12? not sure. Seems like my 1/10 scale stuff I'm currently using is too heavy? Or just weird? Not fast as I'd like

2s batts. There is a 17.5 and 21.5 class, IIRC.

See my comment in the rant thread about not wanting to solder. So bringing to life the AE RC10T and CRC has paused. It is cold and snowy today, maybe I'll get some motivation. Maybe I'll take the Pro4 to the track. So many options! :)

Speaking of. The Rockies lost their home opener. You'd think some Colorado boys could take down some California boys (the A's) in the snow. Nope. Yes it did snow. But it's a dry snow. Kinda like a dry heat, but the opposite. HA
