Hey fellas and ladys
I've been thinking about getting a swift pro and can get one for a good price with a .28 8 port engine and digital display 3 channel controller so what i want to know is it a descent car or should i pay 550aud for a rtr ofna ultrambx comp
p.s first post so go easy and i dont know anything about the swift pro

I'm halfway through building my Swift Pro. I've taken lots of pictures as I go and will be documenting the whole build on a website Real Soon Now.

I don't have any direct experience with any other 1:8 buggies but I can tell you that the Swift Pro is a great improvement over the Swift 1 RTR model, particularly the diffs, shocks, steering knuckles and pivot balls.

That thing should really fly with a .28 engine. You don't need a 3-channel radio but the digital trim and EPA will be very useful, just make sure your steering servo has plenty of torque.

get another brand

Any particular reason WHY? I mean if your gonna dogg it, give a good back up. Personally I have never heard of it. .26 engine is gonna put out plenty of power tho.

dont get it.

lol, well If you live in australia, then the parts availability will be better there then anywhere else. I say get it cuz thats where PRP distrubutes. See, its almost impossible to get parts in the US for this, thats why people dont want to get it.

it's the brand with the most bugs and it stays bugged
because the factory that makes it is manned with stupid people
.....
it is simpy the worst brand you can get if you race, that's all
my opinion

I have a PRP swift and the only problems that I have had with it are a broken shock tower and a broken lower suspension arm both of which were from my driving. I enjoy the buggy but I am trying to get rid of it because I like monsters more.
