i know the purpose of swaybars and it seems like a great idea for on-road use only, but i see people putting them on t-maxxes and savages with offroad intentions.

the way a swaybar works, when one tire is lifted, the bar makes the other lift up. thats not good on uneven terrain wouldnt that break sumpting? if u hit a rock on one tire only at a moderate speed?
 
The sway bars would help keep both wheels on the ground during a turn which enables the truck to make turns at higher speeds.
 
Not just for on road use. I have sway bars, front and rear, on my Storm. They help tremendously with body roll. Without them, cornering at speed you put the weight of the car on the outside wheels. With the swaybars you keep the vehicle more level giving you more use of the inside wheels. With these four wheel drive
machines, the more I can keep all four on the ground the better.
The reason the MT guys use them is to help with the high center of gravity. Robmob said it first, so props to him !!
 
yea but what if 1 tire hit a rock or whatever at high speed, htat would twist the sway bar off.

PS i know what swaybars are and what they do.
 
Yeah dude. Storm has em stock. They help on track or off road. That do pull the wheel of the ground alot they just take some pressure off that wheel to give it more turning ability. Also reduces Chassis flex
 
I had full force rc's on my maxx and it had an enormous effect on turning at speed. I only had it on the rear due to the fact that i have new era's 3-point roll bar which doesn't allow it to be on the front. But man, did the rear grip all the time.

It wore out quick though. Only lasted maybe half a gallons worth of running before there was an enormous amount of slop in the linkage.

It really helped the rear diff not unload when turning, since both tires were touching the ground.
